yet another sendmail configuration problem - OpenSuSE 10.1

Hi,
I want to use sendmail to send all mail not directly from the local host but to anther mail host, I guess I want that smart host - thingie.
I know, it is explained here:
http://www.scalix.com/wiki/index.php?ti ... ntegration
BUT, under SuSE (using 10.1) there's the problem that there's no sendmail.mc file. Of course, there's a hint to make it: http://www.sendmail.org/faq/section5.html#5.3.2.1. The problem is I don't get this:
"To make customisations you cannot achieve by modifying the variables in the configuration files mentioned above (using YaST or YaST2), you have two options:
[1.] Use /etc/mail/linux.mc (or /etc/mail/linux.nullclient.mc) as a starting point. Both files contain several helpful comments.
[2.] To get a .mc file based on your current configuration, modify /sbin/conf.d/SuSEconfig.sendmail to keep the temporary .mc file and execute SuSEconfig afterwards. Then use that copy as starting point."
I want the second option, because I don't know what the current configuration of the server is, thus I want to keep it that way (also I don't know how to make a configuration from scratch, which pretty much seems to be the first option). The problem is I don't understand the second option. How do I get the .mc file, when I modify /sbin/conf.d/SuSEconfig.sendmail?? HOW should I modify it to get the file? WHERE is the file then? Honest, I looked at /sbin/conf.d/SuSEconfig.sendmail and I absolutely have no clue at all.
Can somebody please tell me how to do this?!?
Regards,
Michael
