Hi guys,

Have anyone got multi domain working on the same scalix server? (i.e. the same server serve as mail server for domain a.com and b.com and each domain can get its own branded web mail login page)
Is it a supported configuration?
Any tips / special steps to take to get this working?

I would presume I need to make changes directly in the sendmail config file and the apache config file, right?

Thanks a lot,

William

Multi domain is quite easy. Scalix will deliver mail to any address you specify, as long as your license allows it. If not, request an updated license. Community edition will not restrict domains.

Branding each domain differently makes me think you're going to use Scalix for hosting email. If that's correct, than there are a few other considerations. Probably the most important is the System Address book, which will be shared between all users in a particular instance, so users in a.com will see users in b.com. If you're hosting, you won't want this.

The only really good way around this is to have a.com and b.com each in a separate instance. This is only provided in Enterprise Edition, and I'd recommend contacting support for configuration assistance.

Does that point you in the right direction, at least?

Kev.

thanks a lot

Hi Kevin,

Thanks for your reply, it's exactly the information I'm looking for. I'll be working with your sales colleague for further pre-sales help.

Regards,

William
