HTTP 404 after Install

Hi folks! Hope this wasn't in a forum post earlier, I looked but didn't recognize it.

I have finished installing on a FC4 box. I was using the Install guide verbatim. However, once it comes to logging into the SAC, Tomcat reports an HTTP 404 /sac not available. This is the same for the /webmail.
So where do I go to fix this exactly? My guess is that Tomcat doesn't know/have these direectories and I have to point them correctly. Thnx!

Hi,

I guess you are using port 8080 for sac and webmail - juet checking.

Otherwise I had much the same thing. Just done the same on FC4 fresh install.

My problem was caused by either an inline tomcat install or me pressing continue by mistake. Just before the tomcat install you get a pop up window whilst it spends about 15 minutes doing a config including building all the files required etc.

It should say 'Creating Scalix Server Mesasge Store' and various other things. Page 19 of manual. Easy to miss.

I didn't see this first time I tried install and saw similar poblems to yours.

Try deinstall and reinstall and make sure you let the config complete.

Also tomcat isn't added to the system startup by the install so after a reboot it won't work.

Well, that did take care of the SAC console. (even though I cannot log in. It just sits trying to connect) I still cannot get to the Webmail and it looks like a java issue.

Uh, the reinstall took care of the issue. Sorry.
