Not enough disk space Error Message

Postby unficyp » Tue Feb 27, 2007 6:11 pm

Hi,

i'm trying to install Scalix 11.0.1 (Community Edition) on Suse Linux Enterprise Server 10.
After checking the minimum requirements, the installer reports following error:

"The system does not have enough available disk space to proceed. The minimum is 250 MB."

df -k says:

lx03:/var/opt/scalix # df -h
Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on
/dev/sda2 7.1G 2.1G 5.0G 30% /
udev 507M 84K 507M 1% /dev
10.1.1.22:/vol/scalix11_data
48G 22G 27G 45% /var/opt/scalix

If i unmount /var/opt/scalix,the error doesn't occour.

Whats the problem with the installer and NFS ?
Any ideas ?

Don't use NFS.

It's too slow, and you'll have unending problems with it. I'd bet that Scalix detects it and errors out the install due to the problems that people experience. You WILL have problems with it, so don't use it.

That seems rude, and I don't mean it that way, but this should be said bluntly. You will have problems, and they will not be resolvable without removing NFS from the mix. Save yourself the grief, and don't use it right from the start.

Kev.
