Python error during install

Postby jdeason » Mon Oct 03, 2005 3:16 pm

I am trying to install the community version on Fedora Core 4, but get the error "Build does not contain version for the version of Python installed. Please ensure you have Python 2.2, 2.3 or 2.4 installed. Aborting.

I have Python 2.4.1-2 installed.

Can I remove Python 2.4.1-2 and install an older version to make this work?

That version of Python looks fine to me. What does it display when you type "python -V"? Also if you do "which python" what do you see? Have you got multiple versions of python installed on this system?

Thanks,

Nick.
