command line install solution... but no apache 2 support?

Postby will123195 » Fri Sep 30, 2005 1:45 pm

i was able to launch the scalix installer remotely by installing x windows on my local winxp workstation running cygwin. this way i did not have to install x windows on the scalix server. if there is any interest, i can post the necessary steps to accomplish this.

however, scalix reported that it could not find my apache installation. so i disabled apache 1.3 and installed apache 2 to the default directory /usr/local/apache2 ... but to no avail. scalix still reports that apache is not running. does scalix support apache 2?

how do i get scalix to detect my apache installation?

What platform are you installing on ?

The installer is looking for the presence of the httpd RPM to determine if Apache is installed.

Cheers
