Problem installing evaluation version on Suse 9.3 Pro

Hello,

I'm having problems installing the evaluation edition of scalix onto Suse 9.3 Pro.

Upon launching the install script, the scalix installer starts, and asks me what type of installation i want.
I choose "Install all Scalix components (typical), and click on forward.

The system then gives me an error that reads "This system is running an unknown or unsupported operating system release"

When i click ok, the installer closes.

This is a new machine, and a new boxed copy of Suse 9.3 Professional.
(Yes i am running the installer as root!)

Any help would be much appreciated!

Hello Rob,

I guess you are running on SLES 9 for x86_64. Please check the scalix.log for a line containing:

INFO Operation passed: OS release check SUSE LINUX Enterprise Server 9 (x86_64)

Scalix supports only the the x86 SLES release.

Cheers

Hi!

I've checked and it is Suse 9.3 Profesional.

If that were the case, you would not get this error message. You are trying to install the 64bit version of Suse. This will not work. You will need to reinstall the OS to 32bit.
