We presently use can-it to filter spam, etc on the mail server. Canit uses sendmail, spamassin, etc. Will this program continue to operate as usual?
can-It can be found at.

Are you looking to run "can-it" on the same server as Scalix or on an external server.
If you are going to run it on an external server, then i see no reason why Scalix and can-it cannnot peacefully coexist. In this instance, can-it is just acting as an external MTA for Scalix. This is a very common setup for Scalix.
If you are going to run it on the same server, then the answer is "maybe." Scalix supports spamassassin and sendmail. I would say that as long as can-it is a good network citizen and follows standards that there is a good chance of making it work. However, please realize that you are in uncharted waters here.

I will need for Can-It to exist on the same box as Scalix. The two programs compliment each other very well.
