Is there a Linux eMail Client that supports Scalix?

Topic says it all... I am on SuSE 9.3 and would like to be able to use a Linux based eMail (not web-based) solution to b e able to connect to the Scalix server, that allows me to be able to have access to all public folders, such as Calendar and Contacts.
I know that Evolution can 'pop' the Scalix server, but doesn't allow to connect to aforementioned public folders.
KDE's PIM allows for Groupware, but doesn't offer Scalix connectivity....
So, is there such client under Linux that does it all??

Rainer,
currently there is no such client, so our recommendation for Linux desktops is most certainly our award-winning webclient.
Looking at what's coming, it is certain that we continue to work on our Clients of Choice strategy; support for Evolution is planned for a future release - also, these newer connectors will be built on standards-based technology such as iCal, WebDAV, CalDAV and others; these standards are not fully finally yet, but in the long run their promise is to do for calendaring and other PIM functionality the same that IMAP has done for raw email.
Hope this helps,
Florian

Is it possible to give a rough timeframe for the Evolution-Support? I know some people who are verry interested to get their hands on that.

Scalix is currently working on Scalix Connect for Evolution. This connector will allow users to access their Scalix mailbox (email, calendar, contact) using the Evolution 2.2 or higher client. It will become generally available in 4Q05.

Is there a similar connector planned for Kontact in KDE?

Based on our customer's priorities, we do not have immediate plans to create a specific connector for KContact; However, the Evolution connector will be our first steps in implementing standards based calendar access, i.e. Scalix will look and evaluate standards such as iCal/WebDAV/CalDAV and others as they come along. Problem today is that some of the RFCs are still in a state of flux or have not been implemented by anyone; in a long-term view, this should broaden client supprot considerably, especially including other Linux-based clients.

I'd rather see Kontact support as since Novell has taken over Ximian Evolution, Evolution has been becoming less and less stable (to put it very politely - I am censoring myself here).
