User exists

Hi,
since I cannot log into the Administration Console (see other thread) I tried to add a user using omaddu but it didn't work

I get a message that the user already exists, and when I show all users the username isn't there. When I try to delete the user it's not found, and I then thought the user was removed and thought that I could add him again but with the same message The alias "XX /CN=XX" already exists
How can I remove the user or reactivate him?

hey,

check if entries of the user u wanted to delete are really deleted, from what i expierienced sometimes the entrys got not deleted right.
take care not to delete other entrys


omsearch -e 'UL-AUTHID=<authid>'
omsearch -d USERLIST -t h -e 'UL-AUTHID=<authid>'


If present you can do a

omdelent -e 'UL-AUTHID=<authid>'
omdelent -d USERLIST -t h -e 'UL-AUTHID=<authid>'

Also you can try sxaxmin@<placeyourdomainhere.com> in other words if your domain is cookiemonster.com try sxadmin@cookiemonster.com instead of sxadmin. It worked for me.
