Using port 8080

Postby WizmanG » Tue Aug 08, 2006 11:53 am

I installed the latest Scalix on a fresh install of FedoraCore4 and the only way to get to the SAC or web access is via port :8080. How do I go about getting it to just be regular web access so I don't have to put the port in the URL?

Thanks alot.

What version do you have ?

We disabled port 8080 and use mod_jk through Apache now. How did your install go ? Did it report any errors ? Did you install all components ?

Cheers

I am using scalix-core-intel-redhat-10.0.1.tar.gz

The install went fine except the first time through I didn't have the correct java path setup so I had to rerun the install and install it.

can you re-run the install in custom mode and, when it asks you if it should use mod_jk, make sure that you answer yes?

Thx,
Florian.

I flatened the box, started with a fresh install and made sure use mod_jk was selected. So far it is working perfectly.

Don't know how I missed that the first time through....

Thanks a lot for the help!!
