Import mail from backup of maildir

Is there any way to import mail from maildir. The only data I have is tape backup. The previous server was running Horde IMP imap.

I have searched the forum and google but can only find tools that make use of two currently active servers.

It looks as if the only way forward is to use a client such as Kmail and import and copy but that could take days!

Any ideas?

There is no way to directly import maildir file format stuff into Scalix.

You will need to import this using IMAP. You can use a command-line driven imap tool such as imapcopy or imapsync to do the job. Search the forum or google for those tools for further information.
