I have now installed Scalix with Mailscanner, Clamav and Spammassassin. Before I can start using it though I need to find out how Scalix handles its mail users.

I have a 2TB San mounted using NFS, and want all the mail stores on it so it can grow safely and get backed up in our normal backup routine. I have not been able to find any documentation about this.

IIRC Scalix needs a block device for its mailstore, not a NFS mount, as it needs direct access to the files, with the ability to lock the files. Also, you need to prepare the mailstore for a backup (instead of just running a backup on the files) to ensure the mailstore stays consistent for the entire duration (either shutting Scalix down, or using omsuspend).
