Error on FC4 install - installer crashes out

Installing on FC4 - new build, most recent downloads of OS and Scalix. I also have MailScanner running on this box already.
Installer starts fine and then crashes out just after prompting me for the email address to use for the sa-admin account.
Looks like it is not creating the default OM. I very much need help - searched the forum but can't find the error listed.
