Internal DNS Minor problem

I am sure someone will have a quick fix for this problem. We are currently using scalix for email accounts for our external domain. We purchase exchange to handle 10 accounts that are on an internal domain only. Here is the problem.

A user on scalix has an email address name@domain.com, when that user tries to send a message to one of the 10 exchange accounts (user@internaldomain.com) they get an undeliverable.

We are using windows DNS and I created a dns record for the internal domain and included an A record for both mail and smtp pointing to exchange.

I can ping and tracert the smtp and mail.internaldomain.com just fine, this means that linux is looking at the internal domain. How do I setup Scalix so it checks the internal domain first then check the external domain? Or is there a way to tell scalix that internaldomain.com is IP address xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx so it send mail there for that domain. Simular to how Exchange does Mail Connectors.

Please help
Thanks
Glen

Man its always the little things that bite you in the a**.

I forgot the MX record in the DNS. That fixed the issue.
