Hi,
I'am trying to install Scalix. But I get this:

[root@pc-00004 scalix-9.2.0-eval]# sh ./scalix-installer-eval

Scalix Installer - extracting archive, please wait...
RuntimeError: Bad magic number in .pyc file
Scalix Installer - starting version ...
RuntimeError: Bad magic number in .pyc file
Scalix Installer - cleaning up...
Scalix Installer - stopped.

I don't know what .pyc is and what to do about this :-)
It is on Fedora core 3

Regards
hellstern

It looks like you may have a bad download. Run md5sum on scalix-installer-eval.

The correct result should be:

Code: Select all

8a58dfa808609a80989f92dce9c405f4  scalix-9.2.0-eval.tar.gz
96a5e05a003af845d02e4ef14c8f0054  scalix-9.2.0-eval/scalix-installer-eval

Cheers

Dave

This will also happen if you have Python 2.2 or 2.4 installed.
