Move Installation from /opt to somewhere else

Hi,

is it possible to move the installation from /opt to some other directory. The only thing in /opt is my scalix installation. I tried to move /opt to another file system and created a soft link for /opt to the new location. Scalix was starting up, but I couldn't log into SWA.
The reason why i want to move it, is that i'm running out of space.

Hi Michael,

Did you restart tomcat after moving the data over and creating the symlink?

Hi Rachel,

thanks for your answer. In fact I forgot to restart tomcat only. Now it is working fine for me.
In my case I had nothing else installed in /opt than scalix. So I was moving /opt to the another file system and created a soft link to the new location to /opt.
I imagine it will be safe to stop scalix and scalix-tomcat before the move.
