Application server is not responding Error

On first installation of ver 10, I did not see this error when I was working on the server itself. Now I am accessing from my office over the Internet and can not administor.

I get the SAC screen but no user list and this error. Running on SUSE 9 Enterprise.

Do not know if this is related, but having trouble receiving mail from the outside.
Can send anywhere and receive from others on the server but email from other servers is declined.

"Deferred: Connection refused by jeffumc.org." when I reply to mail sent from the server.

Any suggestions?

For the first problem search for clues in /var/log/apache2/error-log and /var/log/apache2/mod_jk.log from the http side. From the tomcat side look in /opt/scalix-tomcat/logs/caa.log and /opt/scalix-tomcat/logs/catalina.out.

Try simple restarting apache and tomcat.

For the second problem try running

If you telnet to the scalix server on port 25 what is returned?
