Hi,

I was told that you can create a snapshot of /var/opt/scalix, backup it up, and then restore it to another mailnode to recover a mailbox or two. When I read the documentation, it says 'call scalix'. Anyone have a process on how to do this?

1) Install a full server (VM perhaps) with the same version of the OS and Scalix components
2) Make a backup of the clean mailstore in /var/opt/scalix
3) Restore your /var/opt/scalix over this one
4) Restart Scalix and follow the wiki's IP and hostname change procedure
5) Use sxmboxexp to export the mailboxes and sxmboximp to restore them
