Hi,

We've just installed a dedicated activesync server into our exsting multi-node environment. when configuring our iphones according to the installation instructions in the release notes I get constantly the error message that the exchange account could not be verified.

I have tried the user details in every combination I can think of. We auth our users without domain, so just username and no @domain.com, but I have tried both combinations including the domain and without. The server has synced with the directory, we called the new server activesync.ourdomain.com

There are no users on the activesync node. When configuring the account I am doing:

Email Address: username@ourdomain.com
Server: activesync.ourdomain.com
Domain: ourdomain.com
Username: username -- have also tried username@domain.com
Password: users_password

Description: Activesync

I cannot get the account to verify. Any help would be most appreciated.

Forget it, I am the fool our server wasn't listening on ssl. Problem solved.


Actually, I now have the problem where the iPhones wont fetch their mail, contacts or calendars through the external ip, they work on vpn connection and wifi but not remotely.

Still working on this.

I am still having issues with Activesync. I can get it working when using a VPN connection or when on local wifi, however I cannot get it working on its public internet interface. I can browse to both the http and https ports on the activesync node, but no matter what I cannot get the new exchange account to verify.

If I continue when the connection has failed and then try with ssl off it still fails, and when accessing the mailbox it creates I simply get a cannot fetch mail error message.

Any help would be most appreciated.

Can you get to http(s)://SCALIX_SERVER/Microsoft-Server-ActiveSync on the server in both http & https?

I had to update this file for it to work on my system: /etc/opt/scalix-tomcat/connector/ajp/instance-[instance name].conf
