Trouble verifying Package installation

Postby ericlomm » Fri Feb 10, 2006 2:45 pm

Hello,

I am attempting to install community edition on a SUSE linux 9.0 box. I am in the process of checking for the basic Linux Resources and when I got the package named "which" I received a message saying that it was not installed. I went into the available packages that can be installed and I am unable to find this as a package that can be installed. If Itry and do a search for this package name I get a bunch of results that appear to have nothing to do with an available linux package.

How do I find and make sure that this package is installed?

'which' should normally be installed by default and be in /usr/bin.

If it's not there, you need to install the util-linux package. We use it to locate some commands required for the requirements check in the installer.

Cheers

Dave
