Scalix, postfix and aliases

Hi!

I have switched MTA from sendmail to postfix with great success thanks to the great howto: http://www.scalix.com/wiki/index.php?ti ... le_domains

The only thing I cant get working is aliases. What I want is to "catch" some generic email addresses and forward them to a scalix user (due to rfc 2142), here is what I have done so far:

/etc/aliases
...
abuse: me@mydomain.com

run: newaliases

/etc/postfix/main.cf
....
alias_maps = hash:/etc/aliases
alias_database = hash:/etc/aliases


But if anything to abuse@mydomain.com is ignore, what have I missed?

Try postalisas instead of newaliases. newaliases is a sendmail command, generally this is mimicked by postfix to aid people used to sendmail commands. If you have both MTA's you will usually end up with newaliases, newaliases.sendmail, and newaliases.postfix in /usr/bin/, where the first two are the same. This means that newaliases.postfix will probably work; however, postalias is the equivalent postfix command.

Thanks for your suggestion - I have both postfix and sendmail installed, but changed my default MTA to postfix so newaliases would point to newaliases.postfix - but to be sure I tried the postalias command but without luck.

Ok next thing I would check. Make sure that your local_recipient_maps directive, in main.cf, has $alias_maps in it as well. So depending on some options it may look something like this.
