Thunderbirs scalix connect howto?

Hello
I will use the Thunderbird for Mail. Imap isn't a problem but the contacts.
How can I connect thunderbird over ldap?
When I test in console:
ldapsearch -h 192.168.178.10 -p 389 -D 'cn="Duck, Donald", o=scalix"' -w password -b o=MyContacts
ldap_sasl_interactive_bind_s: No such attribute (16)

try adding a -x to that or use omldapsearch when you execute this from the scalix server.

how can I use Thunderbird on a Client?
I have test the command line on the client PC...

well, fundamentally it's the same parameters, just put in t'birds address book provider LDAP thingie... sry - don't have thunderbird in front of me. have done it, pretty straightforward, but now using SWA, Outlook and quite a lot of Apple Mail as it simply looks nicer than T'Bird on a Mac.

Maybe somebody else can provide a step-by-step.

I have an other idea, Thunderbird need a Plugin like lightning.
And if you give follw path:

you have your contacts...

but were can make such Plugin ? -just bravely
