Postby fabtk » Tue Sep 23, 2008 3:20 am

Hi Scalix Community,

We're still having problems with our Scalix-customer (after solving the java problem, click to read thread

/var/log/mail.err

Code: Select all

Sep 23 09:33:19 ###SRVNAME##mail[18559]: m8IDN2P3012450: SYSERR(root): Cannot exec /opt/scalix/bin/unix.in: Operation not permitted
Sep 23 09:33:19 ###SRVNAME### sendmail[18553]: m8IDN2P3012450: smtpquit: mailer scalix_mime exited with exit value 69

Error 69: Intervall 30min / 1h, occurs nearly 24/7

/var/log/mail.err

Code: Select all

Sep 22 15:04:28 ###SRVNAME### sendmail[12503]: m8MCxSin012503: SYSERR(root): Error getting LDAP results in map ldapsx: Unknown error 325

LDAP 325 error: The error occurs ~8hours a week (but than 8hours in a row, every 1-2min 1 log-entry)

3 Cronjobs available:
hourly: restarting ldapmapper
horuly: omcheck
daily: deleting & rebuilding imap cache

I checked the Scalix HowTo and I'm thinking of changing the default LDAP Port to 3890 [HowTo], maybe this helps - exasperating^^

greetings, fabtk

What's the sendmail process running as? If you look in /var/opt/scalix/<xx>/s/sys/unixin.trust you'll see a list of users who we trust to run unix.in. If the sendmail owner isn't there, add it.

That looks like ldapmapper isn't running. Why are you having to restart it hourly? Fix that, and you should fix this error.

Check the permissions of the binary:

Code: Select all

# ll /opt/scalix/bin/unix.in
-r-sr-sr-x 1 root scalix 137592 Jul 10 16:28 /opt/scalix/bin/unix.in

Well, the permissions on the binary look OK, but it's definitely a permissions problem. omcheck?
