Hello altogether,

my Scalix test server currently runs under 11.0.2.17 (that's what omvers shows) under Ubuntu Server 6.06 LTS.

Is it possible to upgrade directly to 11.4? Or would it be better to perform a completely new installation and migrate the data?

On a supported OS you can easily upgrade from 11.0.2 to 11.4 by running the scalix installer.

On Ubuntu, which is untested and unsupported, you may encounter problems regardless of which upgrade method you choose.

Personally, I'd make a good backup and try upgrading the software. If that doesn't work you can then go the more difficult route.

Sounds like a good idea. Is it of interest how it goes? If yes, I could write down what happens and post a reply.

I will perform the upgrade sometime end of next week, probably.
