Install of 11.3 on CentOS 4.4 Hangs

Postby dougp23 » Thu Mar 06, 2008 10:24 am

Trying an install of 11.3 on CentOS4.4.

Currently this server is running 11.1 Scalix.

Running the 11.3 install script, it allows me to choose upgrade, since I am already running a version of Scalix. Once it shows me the components it intends to upgrade, and I click "Forward", nothing happens. No disk activity, no errors, just sits there.

Since this was an 11.1 install, /etc/redhat-release was changed to make believe this is a Red Hat ES box. I am wondering if 11.3 wants us to be honest and say we are CentOS??

The only odd thing I see in the install log are some of these:

WARNING: File (some Scalix file) is not for this platform.

Any ideas anyone??

I would suggest you uninstall the entire Scalix, except for the mailstore, move your redhat-release back to where it should be (as support for CentOS is included) and re-installing Scalix.
