Can send locally
Can send out to world (gmail, hotmail, etc.)
Can recieve incoming local messages
EDIT: Now can do Scalix connect through world (aracarstar.com). New location has public DNS servers.

The I believe the problem is in the A record or whatnot. I am not sure on what exactly is supposed to be there but it seems that messages cant come through the smtp/mapi ports publicly (opposed to locally) since the domain needs proper dns configuration.
Here is my domain name configuration (disregard the changed ip, i just moved to another location)
