When I upgraded to version 10, the new "standard" https links would not work for swa. I recall getting this page cannot be displayed. I appeared as apache was taking the call rather than Tomcat. The new "standard" http /webmail works fine. I ended up editing the tomcat config file to accept traffic on 8443 and my https worked again.

If I update from 10.0.0 to 10.0.1, will this change my Tomcat settings?

The server and SWA are working fine, so I might just ignore this patch unless there is a good reason to apply it?

You should probably read the release notes to determine if the fixes in the patch are worth upgrading for you.

The default installation process will install mod_jk that connects apache to tomcat over port 80. In doing so it will modify the server.xml disabling the ports as before. You can choose the custom install and not install mod_jk.

There are advantages to using mod_jk as it improves performance. Then you configure apache for ssl. If you're happy with the way things are going, great.

Don
