Help with scalix install and apache

Postby sks1024 » Mon Mar 27, 2006 5:40 pm

I am installing the community version and the installer reports that I do not have apache 2.x installed, but I do. What can I do to overcome this problem.

Thanks

What distribution do you have installed ? Are you saying that you hand-installed Apache ?

Cheers

I am installing the latest community version "scalix-core-intel-redhat-10.0.0.tar.gz"

Yes I have hand installed Apache in a different directory than default.

Thanks,
Stan

Sorry, but that is not supported.

Please use an RPM to install Apache. Otherwise our installer does not know where to put the config files.

Sascha.

Can I change any code in the source to change where the config file go.

So your saying that the millions of Apache installs that are custom, Scalix can't be used?

There is nothing to be changed. You have to install an RPM.

Cheers,

Sascha.
