Building Scalix 10 on RHEL ES 4 64bit with pre-exisitng LDAP

Postby patrickmcshane » Thu Mar 16, 2006 9:06 pm

Hi,

I am trying to get Scalix V10 running on RHEL ES 4 64bit and having some minor problems with package dependencies when the scalix-installer is executed (output below). Is there a list of required RH packages available?

Also please point me in the right direction for building and configuring Scalix to run in an environment where an OpenLDAP directory is already installed. For example, where would I get the Scalix LDAP schema files? We don’t want more than one LDAP server unless the additional one happens to be a replica of the master.

Redhat OpenLDAP packages used:
openldap-servers-2.2.13-4
mod_authz_ldap-0.26-2
nss_ldap-226-10
openldap-devel-2.2.13-4
openldap-clients-2.2.13-4
compat-openldap-2.1.30-4

Our existing LDAP server will be catering to a great deal more than just Scalix and we want to have all applications running in a centralized/replicated LDAP environment.

Any suggestions or hints would be appreciated. Output from the scalix-installer is shown below:

Thanks,
Pat

Hi,

please read the installation manual as it covers all your questions from page 11 onward.

Your LDAP question is answered in the Administation guide, coincidently page 11 as well.

Cheers,

Sascha.

Sascha,

Thanks for the response. I am coming in to this new Scalix implementation cold with no documentation. I'll certainly read the manual as soon as I find it. I only have the Eval guide PDF file right now. Any idea where to reaquire the manual as we already paid for the Scalix licenses?

Thanks,
Pat
