Solved - Local Mail Delivery on a new Install

Postby etexter » Thu Feb 23, 2006 9:10 am

I formally had Postfix/Mailscanner installed on my FC4. I removed postfix and mailscanner and made sure sendmail was setup properly. I then installed Scalix and sending mail externally and internally works fine in scalix, but if I log in the system and send something via command line, i.e mail earl@texter.tv, it sends it to /var/mail/earl instead of actually sending it to scalix.

/usr/sbin/sendmail -bv earl@texter.tv
earl@texter.tv... deliverable: mailer scalix, host seraphim, user earl@texter.tv

It seems like it should be going to scalix, but I can't seem to figure out why. This is impacting setting up spamassassin since I can't use the stmpfilter since it all goes to /var/mail instead of being sent to scalix.

Seems like the host should say host any from what I've been reading, but I don't see how to change that yet..

I added in a /var/opt/scalix/unixmap.gw that contained:

cat unixmap.gw
texter.tv#OU$texter.OU$seraphim.#
seraphim.texter.tv#OU$texter.OU$seraphim.#

And everything started working as expected.
