Network interface could not be determined

Postby matt-j » Fri Feb 17, 2006 11:55 am

Hi Guys,

Sorry to dump another problem on you.

I'm doing a fresh install of V.10 on SuSE Enterprise Server 10.

Its failing on network check:

DEBUG:root:This host has the following IP addresses: ['150.50.10.124']
DEBUG:root:This machine's host name 'server1.meridian-blinds.co.uk' and IP address '150.50.10.124' is set in DNS correctly
ERROR:merlin:Operation failed: Network check failed -- Network interface could not be determined

Any Ideas?

Cheers

Can you run the command:

Code: Select all

route | grep default | gawk '{ print $2,$8 }'
as root and post the results?

Cheers

well I feel sheepish, it came back with nothing - which I knew couldn't be right - I had forgotten to set the default gateway, I popped that in there and she started installing a-ok.

Thanks for your help Dave
