Scalix Installer - No fonts found

Postby fuzzyping » Tue Feb 14, 2006 12:19 pm

I'm trying to install the Scalix eval on a RHEL 4 server, but it's reporting the following when I run the installer script. There is no fontconfig man page on this server. It's been years since I ran a Linux desktop, so I forget what (if any) manual configuration is necessary with fontconfig. I ran fc-cache, but that didn't make any difference. Any suggestions?

Code: Select all

# ./scalix-installer-eval

Scalix Installer - extracting archive, please wait...
Scalix Installer - starting version 9.2.2.1...
Scalix Installer (Evaluation) - audit log file is /var/log/scalix-installer-20060214.log
No fonts found; this probably means that the fontconfig
library is not correctly configured. You may need to
edit the fonts.conf configuration file. More information
about fontconfig can be found in the fontconfig(3) manual
page and on http://fontconfig.org
Scalix Installer - cleaning up...
Scalix Installer - stopped.

Thanks in advance,
-fp

On my Fedora 4 box I had the same problem, so assuming it's similar for RHEL. You need to install the fonts-xorg-base package or equivalent.
