omldapsync Failing to find matching entery on scalix

Hi,

Following the migration guide for Exchange 5.5 to Scalix found on Scalix's site. http://www.scalix.com/documents/Scalix_ ... 11.0.1.pdf

I am doing a flash migration and doing the setup for omldapsync.

When I test it I get the following output:

Solved it,

For those like me who want to save yourself hours of frustration:

You cannot have the sxadmin accound to the connection for the export of the scalix system you MUST have a regular user do so. And make sure it has the Common Name not the login. James Kirk, not jamesk.

This means that your ldapsearch returned no objects that conformed to the filter you set.

From what I understand it is finding, and connecting to my exchange server, mail2 fine, it is having problems connecting to itself. mail1.

It should not have to connect to itself. omldapsync uses the /api to do what it needs to do.

Solved it,

For those like me who want to save yourself hours of frustration:

You cannot have the sxadmin accound to the connection for the export of the scalix system you MUST have a regular user do so. And make sure it has the Common Name not the login. James Kirk, not jamesk.

This is not accurate Jeff, you must have changed a couple of things but this isn't it. You can *definitely* use the sxadmin account for the import.

Check your sync.log (/var/opt/scalix/*/s/ldapsync/Ex2Sx/sync.log) from before and after. If you want to chase this down, I'm happy to help. Post what you see and I'll help you work through the logs.
