distribution list with procmail

HI,

in the former mailserver we used to configure procmail in order to build distribution list. in detail: you send a mail to a mailadress, which is automatically copied to the users mailadress, which are in this list.
How can i do that with scalix?

Hi

Well in Scalix you don't have to be a system administrator to use distribution lists.

You can do this in Outlook or SWA for sending out mails and Groups for distributing incomming bmails to many internal users.

that mean, that i can create some group similar to the former distribution lists and people can send to them with the help of the adress book? They shouldn't be able to setup new groups via swa! Outlook will not be used.

Yes the old distribution lists arte now called groups and are set up in the SAC. Next to users is the groups tab.

Of course They can set up their own ones in Outlook SAW as well. No way to stop that, that I am aware of.

I meant to have some official distribution lists with e-mail adresses.
when users group some colleagues into one distribution list then this use is private and with no email-adress, isn't it?

example: mail which is send to "sales_ms@domain.com" should be automatically send to peole a, b and c.
mail which is send to sales_internal should be automatically send to a, b and c and additionally to g,r,h.
Nowone is using or connecting directly to the mailstore of the two emailadresses, only to their own mail account.
Therefore as an administrator i can define groups in the sac which everybody can see over the global adress book. hope i understand that right?

Sounds about right, yes. Groups in SAC does show up in the Global Address List as groups. To add an external user you will have to add him as a seperate entry in the address book, though (create as "Internet User").

This information helps me. Also the info about the internet user. i was wondering about the help info about this user, anyway, i will need external users as receivers from a goups.
