Dependency Check Fail for libical-devel on OpenSuse 10.2

Postby mjkruzeliii » Fri Jan 25, 2008 1:19 pm

I am having trouble with a new install of Scalix. During the dependency check it displays a warning that the libical-devel package needs to be installed. If I click forward regardless of the warning the install crashes.

I have installed libical-devel from the default OpenSuse 10.2 installation. I have tried the libical package that comes from the third_party folder within the scalix distribution. I have also tried downloading the most recent libical package from sourceforge.net. Nothing has worked.

OpenSuse show that libical-devel is an installed package, and

> rpm -q libical-devel

finds the package. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

corrected the problem

I got it to work. If I installed the libical packages prior to the installation (i.e. at the dependency check screen) then the install would always fail regardless of what libical package I used.

I completely removed the libical packages, ignored the warnings from the dependency check and scalix automatically installed the libical packages without problem.
