sac and ommodu not working

Currently having issues where when trying to logon to the sac get the message

Could Not Login
Could not fetch configuration information.
Possible problem with administration server

also when trying to use ommodu in the console get this message

ommodu : [OM 8001] Someone else is currently configuring Scalix - please try again

does anyone have any ideas? has happened after memory ran out in scalix and that has been sorted but these errors are occuring

Try the following:

ps aux|grep ommod

If there's an ommodu or an ommodent in there, it'll have likely crashed. kill -9 it, and you should be fine again.

It's possible that rather than an ommod* it would be a omdel* or an omadd*. Del usually is the one I've seen, simply because it can take a long time to delete a user with a large message store, and sometimes admins there's an attempt to fix a server that's just taking a long time to finish a particular command. Usually that fix doesn't work out so well. :)
