DocumentRoot?

Postby FrankNeps » Thu Nov 15, 2007 8:24 am

Hi altogether,

I managed to install a Scalix test server under Ubuntu 6.06 server. This part works great.

But: How can I find out about the DocumentRoot of the Web server? I read the topics here about Virtual Hosts. Do I have to define a separate virtual host? And if yes, where? I don't need many virtual hosts. Beside the mail server functionality I need this machine to act as a Web server with a Wiki. How or where can I find the DocumentRoot?

Thanks in advance and best regards,

Frank

No solution?

Hmmm, no answer after about a week means, that there are several possibilities:

- either I said something wrong in my posting?
- or I asked something which is really clear to everyone except to me?
- or I didn't find it in my searches although it is obvious?
- or I asked something which no one ever did?
- or I am too impatient?

Please let me know what went wrong... :-)

Thanks again and best regards,

Frank

Document Root?

Hmm, well your question does not seem to be related to scalix at all, but have a look at /etc/apache or /etc/apache2 (whatever is installed on your machine) and read apache docs thoroughly usually DocRoot is in some subdirectory of /var/www but you can set that up however you want to ...

But that does not interfere with scalix web access at all - SWA is running on a tomcat-server serving requests on another port - if apache is answering those requests on port 80 it is setup to act as a proxy-server that passes through these requests.

But sorry to say so - this question is an obvious "RTFM" question. ;-)
