Fedora Core 4 Install Error

Hi folks,

I'm a Linux newbie, in search of a descent Exchange server replacement. Thought I'd start here, with this promising Scalix product and evaluate for a few months ...

I followed the install guide in the installation PDF to the best of my ability ... but when attempting to install Scalix I run into an error I don't quite get.

On the GUI, it's searching for "the latest Scalix Packages" ... and in the console window, the following exception is thrown:

I'd appreciate whatever help you bright folks can supply this old dog.

In the installation guide, got a question on a couple of required packages:

- Kernel Development (I don't see this package listed)

- Legacy Software Tools (I don't see this EXACT package either)

Again, this is Fedora Core 4.

My apologies. I'm even more dense than I originally imagined. When the directions say "Change to the shared directory" ... they seriously mean a SHARED (777) directory.

Working fine now ...

Don't know what I did ... but the next reboot produced a kernel panic ...

Linux still isn't user friendly enough for me ... I'll leave it to you smart folks ...
