Scalix 11.2 in RHEL 5

Postby glenn » Wed Oct 10, 2007 4:56 am

Hi all,

I just downloaded the latest Scalix 11.2 CE edition and tried to install into my i386 RHEL5 and got this dependency error that i need to have cyrus-sasl-md5 installed.

So i went to download this RPM and found i need to have libcrypto.so.0.9.7 and cyrus-sasl.2.1.0.3 installed first.

Finally i downloaded these 2 RPM and found that, actually my RHEL5 is having a newer version of these 2 RPM installed and the installer stops me from installing them.

So my original problem still remains, any idea how should i work around this problem?
Thanks!

We ran into this with RHEL4, but just installed the older versions as well and the Installer was happy again.

Hi,

Run yum install cyrus-sasl-md5
and it will deal with everything for you.

Andrew.
