Upgrading from Scalix 8.x to latest 9.4.x - what limits appl

Postby deyjvu » Mon Nov 07, 2005 10:06 pm

We want to upgrade a site from Scalix 8.x to the latest 9.4.x version of Scalix and wonder if this is posible or are there limitations with upgrading from such an older version?

What are the recommended steps for an upgrade of this nature?

Our latest installer should be able to upgrade your system all the way to 9.4. There are a number of new components and features that have been developed over the last few years and you should note that we do not test all possible upgrade paths.

Platform support has also changed since Scalix 8.2. If you're still running on RHEL 2.1 or SuSE SLES 8, you'll need to upgrade your OS as well. Check the Installation Guide for a complete list of supported platforms.

After you complete the upgrade, make sure you run omtidyallu -M to update the MIME format of existing messages in the Message Store.
