Problems getting Exmerge to run properly - NT4 Exchange 5.5

Have two different versions of the tool exmerge one for backoffice 4.5 technet CD and another from the ms download site.

When either one is run following the Migration Guide instructions to test copy a mail box to the other server(Scalix), the creation of the pst file fails. with 1 error. The error log file says MAPI failed to start

Error initializing MAPI.
..

Any ideas where to go from here ?

Are you using the Scalix Migration tool it migrate the PST's

I plan the migration tool smt to load the pst files into the scalix mail boxes once I have the data out of the ms exchange system.

Does the smt have a working exmerge program with it?
