Scalix-11.0.2.1.GA and Fedora Core 5

Raising a new thread in the hope one of the Scalix Support team might read this and help.

Up to now Shredder has been kind enough to try and help but I am no further installing Sclix on our Linux server than I was last Thursday:

Trying to remote install Scalix-11.0.2.1.GA on our Linux Fedora Core 5 server but can get no further than the following erro message in the log files.

I am not sure if I am actually seeing two problems here and am actually chasing the wrong one.

/var/opt/scalix/md/s/sys/install; I am seeing the following error:

However, the log file still shows other activity so I am wondering if this is not the cause of the failed install?????????

Just looked and yes it does. I did a quick ls and it is chock full with .m4 files

Does the file /usr/share/sendmail-cf/feature/allmasquerade.m4 file exist (it should - it is part of the sendmal-cf package).

Try running the following directly
m4 /etc/mail/sendmail.mc

This is how the sendmail.cf file is generated.

Check that the sendmail.mc file looks ok (we just add the line
MAILER(scalix)dnl
at the end of the file, which adds the scalix lines into sendmail.cf

in the sendmail.mc file remove the FEATURE('allmasquerade') line from the end

add
FEATURE(allmasquerade)
before the MAILER lines

then run omsendin (or remove your message store with omdelom and create a new message store with ommakeom)

Thank you for hat, I did as you suggested and now the scalix installer runs through to completion with no errors.

The problem I am having now is that I can not see the webpages. I try www.mindsheet.biz/sac and get error 503 Service Temporarily Unavailable - The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to maintenance downtime or capacity problems. Please try again later.

Any idea's where the service is installed and do I need to make any changes to the Apache server so that it knows where to pass requestes for www.mindsheet.biz/sac to ???

Mark,

Had to uninstall Scalix as one of our customers rang up to complain they could not see their website. I tried their URL and got our default webpage i.e. /var/www/html/index.html. I tried other virtual websites and had exactly the same problem.

This problem lifted once I uninstalled Scalix. Any idea's what might have caused us to lose the virtual hosting on the Apache and why we can not see the SAC page?
