How to install SCALIX on SUSE 9.3

Postby feelfree » Sun Mar 25, 2007 1:45 pm

Hi,

I want to install SCALIX Community Edition on Suse 9.3 Linux for use with less than 20 users.

I've looked for a download for 9.3 but there semms to be no one available.

Does someone knows how to install it, please post. Maybe this thread can help also other people with SUSE 9.3.

Thanks

Hi!

If you have not seen the details of the Supported Environments for Scalix 11, please see
the link below, Fedora Core 4 and SUSE Linux Professional 9.3 and 10 are no longer
supported in Scalix 11.0:

Thanks,
Subir

hm,

is there a possibilty to use an older version of SCALIX on SUSE 9.3? I think some other people also have the problem because SUSE 9.3 is already standard on some web servers.

Hi!

The supported OSs are as below:
RedHat Enterprise Linux 3 and 4; SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 9 and 10; Fedora Core 5; SUSE Linux OSS 10.1.

I would suggest you to use one of the supported enterprise distributions. Fedora Core 3 and
SUSE Linux Professional 9.3 are no longer supported in Scalix 10.0.x. In addition, SUSE Linux 10 is not supported in Scalix 10.0.x.

Thanks,
Subir

Thanks, but a complete reinstall of two servers which are working fine makes no sense.

Where can I download the SCALIX 9.2.1, which should work with SUSE 9.3?

Seriously, you'll want to use at least Scalix 10. I don't believe 9.2 included a Community Edition license either.

Can you run VMware on one of your boxes? or Xen?

Kev.
