Tomcat5 installation

Postby mweber56 » Thu Oct 20, 2005 2:12 pm

I am installing the community edition of scalix. I am use Fedora Core 4. I am stuck on the Tomcat5 installation part of the scalix setup. I install Tomcat 5.0.30-5jpp_6fc, which I hope works. When I get ot he TomCat Configuration and it asks for my Existing Tomcat instaltaion I point it to where Tomcat is install at /etc/tomcat5/ but it says "The Selected Directory is not a Tomcat 5 Directoyr. Please select a valid directory to proceed."

What am I missing. I will admit I am new at this so please forgive me if its something simple stupid. Thanks for any help you can provide.

Hi Matt,

We highly recommend that you use the version of tomcat that is supplied with Scalix (currently 5.0.28) because it has received the most testing and we know that it's fully compatible with our product. Tomcat 5.0.30 is currently beta and is not supported.

Thanks,
Rachel
