Hi,

I am trying to install scalix 11.0.2 on a freshly installed SuSE OSS 10.1 system. When I run the installer I get the following error message. I just cannot see what I might have done wrong.

Hi!

It seems the OS does not have the required set of softwares installed, please refer to the
link below for additional packages that are required:

also refer to the Scalix 11 Installation Guide, for "Required Software for Intel or AMD Systems":

Once, the OS has all the basic softwares required, retry Scalix installation.

Also, Check and make sure you're running the correct installer package. I have both SLES9 and SLES10 servers running Scalix and I saw this exact same behavior when I mistakenly tried to run the SLES9 install on a SLES10 system.

Hi,

thank you both for your hints.

Actually chris was right. It really was a problem with the installer package. I picked the wrong one. At first I simply did not recognize there were so many different installer packages available for suse.
