Firstly, if you do that there are some issues with making messages so you can't reply to them, due to the differences in message information in the PST and in Scalix. But not too major an issue IMO.

What you'll have to do is install a sinlgle workstation with Outlook, then

1) Make sure user is a Premium user
2) Create a profile for this user on your workstation
3) Import the PST
4) Delete the profile

Alternatively you can try use an automated migration tool to handle this.

We are working on our own migration tool that is able to import PSTs to many user's accounts using a single Windows workstation. If you use Scalix Small Business Edition or Enterprise Edition, please contact Scalix Sales or Scalix Services for details.

The new Scalix Migration Tool will officially be released as part of Scalix 11.

You cannot import the PST through Linux. PST files use a Windows-based API for access.

If you purchase Scalix Small Business Edition or Scalix Enterprise Edition, you will be able to get the optional Scalix Migration Tool for it with Scalix 11; this will allow you to import PSTs without going through Outlook. If you are a current SBE or EE customer as of Scalix 10, you can apply to be included in our currently limited Beta program for the tool. Please contact your Scalix sales representative for details.

Cheers,
Florian.
