On the install its asking me for a domain name...

I always assumed that Scalix could work with more than one domain...

Why then am I required to enter a domain on the install?

Perhaps it should be possible to add a domain later.

Well it's possible to add the domain later. So just in "simple" (no future migration or integration with Exchange or oLDAP) installation I'd use the primary domain. Later one can add additional domains using nice SAC interface (or console).

Well as far as I understood if you have more complicated organisation with different departments and each of them has different main domains, then one can also set up different mailnodes for each department.
Mailnode Domain
headoffice,mail main.company.com
sales,mail sales.company.com

So later on each new user created corresponding to the appropriate Mailnode will automatically get the correct email address.
