Mail to eksternal system disapears.

Postby hpevju » Sat Aug 05, 2006 3:04 am

I'm trying to send mail from the webmail client to one of my eksternal email addresses.

The mail does not bounce.
SAC reports that a mail has been run trough the internet mail gateway
SAC does not report any smtp errors or anything in the error manager queue

Still i do not recieve any mail on my external account.
NEW INFO: today i recived the mails sent on friday, ie it took 2 days for the mails to arrive..Probably some fault of an ekstrernal system?

the scalix server is behind a NAT firewall, everything is open out, but i have not nat'ed anything inbound to the scalix server yet. (smtp is nat'ed to my existing mail server)

Any ideas as to how i can find the source of the problem?

I have also set up the user im sending from as a catch-all user according to the KB. It's also set up as the error msg user. When i try to send to a non defined address i get the following:

----- The following addresses had permanent fatal errors -----
<adfg@evju.biz>
(reason: 553 5.3.5 system config error)

----- Transcript of session follows -----
553 5.3.5 evju.biz. config error: mail loops back to me (MX problem?)
554 5.3.5 Local configuration error

How do i solve this so that it goes to the catch-all address?

Lastly, several mails seems to go "root" user. I can check the mail of root by using a terminal and using "mail" but this user is not defined in sac. Is there other hidden users that recive mail, and is there anyway i can make these users available trough the sac? Or throug webmail?
