Web Access very slow - Scalix 12.7 with CentOS 7

Trying to migrate a Scalix mail system from CentOS 6 to CentOS 7. The same mail store runs fine on the new server in Outlook but the Web Access is an order of magnitude slower on CentOS 7 verses CentOS 6. I am assuming this is not normal, though I don't see comments on the forum about it. The hardware is a step up from the hardware running the CentOS 6 and when I check the server it is basically taking a nap.
Things I have tried:
- rebuilt the Search indexes
- run omtidyall
- removed the imap caches
- tuned the server
- tried every memory setting in scalix-tomcat from 256m to 2048 meg
None of these seems to make any real difference. It opens just fine, but loading the folder list takes a very long time and loading the headers takes forever. Does anyone have any suggestions?
